- Biography -
Usagi first appeared in episode 01, "The Crybaby Usagi's Splendid Transformation!" Usagi is a 13 year-old girl who is an 8th grader at Juuban Junior High School. Usagi's life changes forever when a cat named Luna tells her she is the Champion of Justice, Sailormoon. Luna goes on to tell her she is sworn to protect the Moon Princess (It is later revealed in the first season that Usagi is the Moon Princess). At first, Usagi does not believe her; she thinks she’s dreaming. Luna tells Usagi she is not dreaming and spins in the air revealing a golden broach. Usagi takes the broach and places it on herself. Luna then tells Usagi to say “Moon Prism Power, Make-Up”. Usagi obliges and yells out her transformation phrase. When her transformation sequence ends, Usagi sees herself in the mirror and is completely shocked. She doesn’t understand what’s happening, but snaps back to reality when she hears Naru yelling for help. She runs to help her, but doesn’t know what to do. Luna helps her gain some confidence and with the help of a mysterious masked man she defeats the enemy.
Usagi is a bit of a klutz and a crybaby during most of the series, but when there is an emergency, she is always strong and ready for the challenge. She has an amazing power, but she only uses this power to destroy the monster. She is also the first one to be there for friends when they need help. Usagi is very loyal, friendly, and outgoing. She can also be a bit naïve and can trust people too quickly. Usagi also prefers to save someone from evil then kill them. In SailormoonS she defended Hotaru from the Outer Senshi when they wanted to kill her. She gave Mistress9 the Holy Grail thinking it would save Hotaru. Instead it made Mistress9 and Pharaoh 90 almost unbeatable. In Sailorstars she immediately befriends the Starlights hoping to work with them as a team even against the wishes of the Outer Senshi.
In SailormoonR while Usagi & Mamoru were on a date, a little girl fell from the sky and landed on top of Usagi introducing herself as Usagi. She demanded the Ginzuishou and when she did not get it, she ran off. When Usagi got home, the little girl was there with Usagi’s family and was yelled at by her mom telling her she should not leave her little cousin Chibi-Usa by herself. Usagi was suspicious of the little girl but felt protective of her. Later on in the season the little girl tells the senshi she came from the future to save her mom from a catastrophic incident and needed the Ginzuishou to help her. Chibi-Usa sends the senshi to future to help her save her parents and while Usagi is there she learns Chibi-Usa is Usagi’s & Mamoru’s future daughter. From then on her and Chibi-Usa’s relationship deepens and no matter how much they fight with one another, it is still strong and pure.
Usagi has a deep relationship with Mamoru. When they first met they could not stand each other, but as the season progressed they began to date. Later on in the season, it was revealed they were past lovers entangled in a forbidden love. In SailormoonR they continued to date, but their relationship became rocky when Usagi and Mamoru were receiving dreams telling them to discontinue their courtship because it would jeopardize Usagi in the future. Usagi still hung onto Mamoru even though he did his best to keep his distance to protect her. A few episodes later, Usagi and Mamoru are sent to the future by Chibi-Usa and were told by the future Mamoru he sent those dreams to test their love for one another. In the future Usagi and Mamoru are married and their daughter is Chibi-Usa. In the future, Usagi & Mamoru are known as Neo-Queen Serenity & King Endymion who live in a Utopia known as Crystal Tokyo.
Later on in the series we don’t see much of Mamoru but Usagi’s love for him is still very evident. In Sailorstars Mamoru goes off to America and before he leaves he gives her a ring and informally proposes to her. Unfortunately on the way to America his starseed is taken away from Sailorgalaxia and dies. Usagi is not aware of this and thinks throughout the season Mamoru has forgotten about her and does not care about her anymore. Near the end of the series she learns from Sailorgalaxia that he died and then understands why his communication was absent. After Eternal Sailormoon saves Sailorgalaxia, all the starseeds Galaxia had taken are returned to their owners and Mamoru comes back to life. Usagi flies to him and they are reunited once again.

Moon Prism Power, Make-Up
Usagi says this to transform into the powerful Sailormoon. In the first episode Luna tried
to tell Usagi she was Sailormoon, but when Usagi wouldn't listen, she flipped in the air and
created a broach for Usagi to use to transform into Sailormoon.
Red Orbs
The red orbs in Sailormoon's Odango have a power to sense if people are in trouble and as
a defense when Sailormoon is in trouble. In the first episode they were used to detect that
Naru was in danger as well as disable youma who were after Sailormoon.
Moon Tiara Action
Sailormoon uses the tiara on her forehead as a weapon to destroy the Youma of the day. This
powerful weapon is used like a frisbee and is thrown at the enemy to turn it into dust. This
attack is mainly used in the first season.
Moon Power...Ni Nare
Usagi uses this pen to disguise into anyone she wants. She holds her pen up in the air and
tells it who she wants to become. This pen is very useful when she needs it to spy on
people. Her fellow senshi are the only ones who can tell who she really is.
Moon Tiara Stardust
This power is exactly like Moon Tiara Action except when it is thrown, sprinkles of
dust cover multiple people. The dust is used to heal and revive multiple people who were
posessed by a Youma's spell.
Sailormoon Kick
This is an offensive attack Sailormoon uses to basically catch an opponent off guard. She
jumps in the air, yells out "Sailormoon Kick," and basically tackles the Youma heels first.
This attack was only used once.
Moon Healing Escalation
Sailormoon uses this to heal the Nijizuishou carriers. Sailormoon uses her Moon Stick to
return the Youmas back to their human form. After the Ginzuishou is joined with it, she
uses it to heal Tuxedo Kamen and defeat various bad guys.
Moon Crystal Power, Make-Up
This is Sailormoon's second transformation. A strong Cardian defeated Sailormoon and left
her and Luna in another dimension. Queen Serenity came to Usagi and gave her a new broach
with the Ginzuishou inside. Sailormoon used the broach to transform and was able to defeat
the Cardian.
Moon Princess Halation
Since Sailormoon's tiara was not working against Cardians anymore she needed something to
defeat them. Queen Serenity came and sent the Cutie Moon Rod down to Sailormoon to aid her
in keeping peace in Tokyo.
Sailor Body Attack
This is an offensive attack Sailormoon uses to catch Cooan off guard. She runs towards Cooan,
yells out "Sailormoon Body Attack," and basically tackles Cooan to the ground with her body.
This attack was only used once.
Moon Cosmic Power, Make-Up
This is Sailormoon's third transformation. When her previous broach wasn't powerful enough
anymore; this broach was created with the love Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion had
for each other. The shape of the broach changed to a heart.
Moon Spiral Heart Attack
When her new broach was created, so was this new Heart Moon Rod. Sailormoon uses this to destroy
Daimons. Swirls of hearts emit from the middle of the heart and blast the Daimon. Just
before a Daimon is killed, it shouts out "Lovely!"
Double Sailormoon Kick (Again)
This is an offensive attack Sailormoon & Sailorchibimoon use to basically catch an opponent
off guard. They jump in the air, yell out "Double Sailormoon Kick," and basically
tackle the Daimon heels first. They miss the first time, so they repeat the attack. This
attack was only used twice.
Crisis, Make-Up
Sailormoon uses the Holy Grail to transform into a more powerful version of Sailormoon,
known as Super Sailormoon. Super Sailormoon can not maintain this form for too long because
it is too powerful for her. She uses this form to destroy more powerful Daimons.
Rainbow Moon Heart Ache
As Super Sailormoon, she uses this upgraded Heart Moon Rod to destroy more powerful Daimons.
She performs the same maneuvers but instead of swirls of hearts and dust emitting from the
heart, ribbons of hearts emmit from it instead. As the Daimon is killed, it shouts out
"Lovely!"
Moon Crisis, Make-Up
This is Sailormoon's fourth transformation. This transformation sequence is done with
Chibi-Usa. Her Crisis Moon Compact was given to her by Pegasus because her previous
form was not strong enough. He gave her this power after she put her trust in him.
Moon Gorgeous Meditation
As Super Sailormoon, she uses her Kaleidoscope to defeat Lemures. This attack only works
with the help of Sailorchibimoon and Pegasus. Sailorchibimoon calls out Pegasus with her
Crystal Carillon and he comes out to power up Super Sailormoon's Kaleidoscope.
Moon Gorgeous Meditation (With Sailorchibimoon)
In the SuperS movie, Super Sailormoon and Super Sailorchibimoon both create their own
Kaleidoscope. They both use their Kaleidoscope to destroy Badiyanu and the Black Dream Hole.
This attack was only used once.
Moon Eternal, Make-Up
This is Sailormoon's fifth and final transformation sequence, and is considered to be her
"true form." With the combined power of all the Sailor senshi, her Crisis Moon Compact is
upgraded to the Eternal Moon Broach.
Starlight Honeymoon Therapy Kiss
Her Kaleidoscope was upgraded to the Eternal Tier after her compact was upgraded. After a
human loses their starseed, they turn into a phage. Eternal Sailormoon uses the tier to
return their starseed to them, and thus making them human again.
Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss
As Eternal Sailormoon, she uses this upgraded Eternal Tier to heal stronger Phages. This
power was given to her by Sailorchibichibimoon. For the most part she performs the same
maneuvers but beams of golden light assist the feathers in healing the phage in the end.
